I'm Ledwyn Mena. I live in Houston, where I help design the future.
My journey in technology began in fifth grade with a computer class that taught me typing skills. It was right around the time we got our first home computer. After school, I'd go home and increase my typing skills by chatting online with my friends from school on instant messenger. This was before texting was even a thing. When cellular plans charged anywhere from 10 cents to a quarter for each text message. No unlimited plans. No digital keyboard on touch screen phones to simplify crafting thoughtful messages. Yes, I'm that old. Needless to say, being able to chat and stay connected with friends via computer was fascinating - and I was hooked.
As time went on, I began to explore fundamental computer concepts, such as storage, folder structures, the importance of antivirus software, installing and setting up different programs, and of course that little bit of html we all learned while styling our Myspace pages. Not to mention the works of art produced using the world famous Paint app and Microsoft Word (works that are sadly now lost).
As I progressed, I delved deeper into coding and software development, building web applications both professionally and during my personal time. This exploration led me to discover robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent automation, machine learning, and next-generation AI.
I aspire to use the skills I've already gained and will continue to acquire to create meaningful content that spreads positivity, love, and inspiration to others around the world. If it isn't going to help or bring joy to others in a harmless way, I don't want to produce it.
In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, spending time with friends and family, and traveling whenever possible.
